On Monday May 16th, 2010 we took Evan to Cleburne so he could head out to the Dallas MEPS center for the Military. As of last night the 17th, he has officially stated basic training for the United States Air Force. We love him and miss him a lot, but it hasn't been that bad without him here YET. It has only been two days, but we are supporting him 100%! Here are some pics of our last days together as a family before he left.

Evan and Lucas have both been so sick this past week, and i didn't even realize evan was sick until he told me he had a fever of 102.2! i felt so awful, i just had surgery and here he is trying to take care of me and sick lucas, and here he is sick too! oh i just felt so awful when i found out! anyhow, so yes the whole house is sick and i'm still not fully recovered from surgery but still have to get out of bed tomorrow and go to work. It's going to be very hard for me because I am just lacking so much energy right now, so i'll see how i hold up tomorrow. And i'm so increadibly sad that i have to work and CLOSE the 30th and the 31st! i feel awful cause i won't be able to take lucas out for his VERY FIRST halloween!!! :-( i'm such a bad mommy!

I take pics of Lucas so everybody can see him, and how cute he is, how much he is growing, and what he is learning. But i realized lately, that i'm hardly in any pics with my son, and i felt awful about that. i want to be able to cherish those moments when i'm older that i can look at picture of all of us and see what a happy family we were. This past week has been filled with ups and downs. Last wednesday, October 14th, 2009, I had gastric bypass surgery. It was definitely a life changing surgery for me and my family. But i knew i needed to do something so i could be there for my son later on and not have him embarrassed of how his mother looks infront of his peers.. The past week and a half has been pretty difficult, i have been on a liquid diet, which has honestly been really rough. This Thursday i get to add baby food textures to my diet, which i have never been so excited about something like this!

This is the first time i have publically opened up to people about this. Before this, i have only told a few relatives and just a handful of friends or co workers. So yes this has been a very diffuclt process, but in the long wrong, it will be well worth it for me and my health, and for the sake of my family! so wish us luck down this long journey ahead of us! and I will keep you all up dated on the process of things!

he loved playing in the water

he learned to stand up

and sit up

and just being cute!

At 5 months he started to sit up by himself, hold his own bottle and stand up holding on to things. and 6 months he learned how to army crawl! and at 7 months he learned to craw (the real way), he started cruising, and is now breaking not 1 but TWWWWOOOO teeth! i am shocked! i kinda wanted pics of just the first tooth coming in and being cute, but now it will be 2!! within the next 2 months hopefully he will be walking all by himself!

Three weeks ago I was trying to take lucas to his PCP. They just happened to be closed randomly when i needed them. So i took him to Cook Childrens ER. He was diagnosed with and Upper Respiratory Infection. They did not give him any medication they said just keep giving him tylenol and motrin.. So last friday he had a doctors appt cause he has a yeast infection. the doc still didn't do anything about him being sick for three weeks, he says he thinks its just some virus that he has and he will "get over it"! so saturday morning i take him to harris ER because at daycare the day before he has a fever again and its 103! and that lasts til saturday. at the ER they say yeah he still has the Upper respiratory infection and they gave him an antibiotic. keep in mind he started with this fever friday, and we didn't bring him back to cooks er til monday night (last night). we got to the er they said his temp was a wopping 104.9!!!!! i could not believe it! all weekend we had been checking it and it never went of 103! well yesterday i could tell he was not getting any better being on the antibiotics and he was having trouble sleeping and breathing, and he wasn't eating or going to the bathroom. ANYHOW, so they do a flu test last night. they lost it so they had to do another one. they had to get a urine sample from him (OUCH) . then they did a chest x ray. doc comes in says its clear as day he has a pneumonia! i couldn't believe it! but i knew something was really wrong, and i'm so glad that i followed my instinct and took him to the ER for the 3rd time. or else nobody would have known thats what he has and he could have died! anyhow. so they are giving him Rocephin ever 12 hours and clindamycin every 6 hours trying to get him back on track. he is still coughing really bad.. but hopefully he will be back to normal soon, cause i miss my happy little baby!

well on my 21st birthday (may 28) lucas turned 4 months! how exciting huh?

we went for a 30 min walk around 10 which is his nap time,
and it seemed to work out perfectly!

he likes to cuddle with me when he sleeps

he is getting that head up higher and higher!

whenever i have the camera, he wants to eat it!
but i think that goes for pretty much everything these days!

he loves the froggy blanket!
sometimes to help him go to sleep he sucks on it lol

Since he was born, the only way he was ever able to sleep
was on his belly. but now that he rolls over, he has learned
how to sleep on his back. it takes a couple of minutes of
crying, but it happens!

but a pacifier does the trick and gets him back to sleep!

this is a great way to entertain him for 5 minutes. you stand him up on the couch
and he just plays and laughs and enjoys standing up

And i made lucas a blanket for his play yard thingy.
its one of those fleece blankets, but it was much harder to make cause i
had to put stuffing in it to make it soft cause its sits on wood! but it turned out cute!

The day before easter the YMCA had a little carnival thing, so i took lucas and my sisters. as you can see, Lucas slept the whole time.. he slept the whole time in my arms, and got sun burned on his cheek! poor baby. but it went away the next day. But he has not been happy at all since sunday, just crying all the time, and whining, well ... we think he is teething.. cause now he likes to chew on everything! and that stops him from crying! soo..

well my dad and my sister have been secretly planning a surprise for me for 2 months .. and the surprise was there when i walked in the door at my sisters apartment! my dad, which i have not seen in 2 years was standing there! what a shocker!! i was so surprised! well my step mom bought him the tickets and surprised him with them, and said you need to go down to texas (he lives in ohio) and visit your girls, and your grandson! so yesterday we visited for a while here, and then went to main event and played pool and went bowling. then today, my sister amanda, and her husband chris, and my dad came over my house, and we watched a movie, some tv, ate dinner, passed around the baby, and had fun together. now tonight me and lucas are staying the night at amandas house, and taking my dad to the air port at 3 am! yes 3 am! as if i don't get enough sleep as it is.. now this.. lol well i'm very thankful that my dad was able to come and visit us and spend some time with us, cause it has been even longer, since its been me, amanda and him together.. anyway, in that pic, its my dad and lucas!

Well, the only way for me to post now, is to do it at my moms house on her SLOOOOOW computer! so in order to put like 5 pics on here, it will take like 30 minutes! so not worth my time! I need a job like NOW so we can get the internet cause i'm dying not having the internet at home anymore!!

anyhow, this is lucas finally sleeping after we went to church and he got blessed, then the family came over and we all ate, and people napped, then lucas went to sleep.. for only 20 minutes.. lol

what do you do when you have a colicky baby? you pretty much go crazy! Lucas has been screaming for hours on end for days now! I can't even tell you how many times i've cried! Well i finally took him to Cooks last night to make sure he doesn't have an ear infection or something else wrong. No, nothing is wrong that they can just give him medicine for and it be gone! he has colic, something that isn't going to go away till he is like 3 or 4 months old. So what is a mom, that is home with her baby all day, supposed to do when your baby cries for 4 hours at a time with NOTHING calming him down?

he is the sweetest and most peaceful baby when he is not screaming..

i'm just at a loss at what to do.

After 2 days in the hospital...

Lucas is all better! Sunday morning we noticed he had a fever, then he threw up, and had diarrhea. So we took him to cooks and they admitted him to the hospital right away, because he was only 11 days old, a fever can be really dangerous to them. Anyhow, they tried 4 times to take his blood, and FINALLY got it. Then they had to start an IV for fluids and antibiotics. Then a catheter to get a urine sample, and THEN a SPINAL TAP! that was pure torture for little Lucas! he was screaming sooo much! i felt so bad for him! anyhow, they tested him for the flu, RSV, meningitis, and a urine infection. well it took 48 hours to get these tests back, so this morning the doc comes in and says everything is fine, and he must just have a virus. so we are home now.. and here are some pics of the little guy!

my aunt marica came up the hospital on wednesday (the day he was born) and took some pics of my mom and sisters holding Lucas, and then she did a couple shots with daddy and baby, and i think this is just a heart melting picture of our son holding on to his daddy's finger.

15 hours of labor..

15 hours of labor.. all for nothing and having to end up having a c-section. he was in my pelvic area, and i guess kinda stuck cause he wasn't descending anymore and he started to get a bubble on his head, so the doc decieded to do a c-section! so he was born on january 28, 2009 at 12:46 am. Weighing 7lbs 13 oz, and 20 inches long! He is just the sweetest thing ever! For the first 24 hours, the only time he ever cried was when they pulled him out of me, other than that, he only wimpered a little. Daddy got to change his first two diapers! lol i haven't even changed one yet. But i'm kinda stuck in the hospital bed which is making my butt hurt soooo bad! but getting up to walk hurts so bad at first, but by the time i'm walking back to the bed its not so bad.. so i just gotta keep moving! well anyways, enjoy the pics!!

well i'm in the hospital right now, they have started the induction process and we are on our way to having this baby!!! they put the cervidil in at 7:30 and will keep it in til about 5 am, then around 6 or 7 am they will start the pitocin, then who knows how long it will take to get this baby out of me!!! i can't wait! WEEEE can't wait!! :-D cute pics to come soon of our little one! ;-)

this is a picture i took in march of 2007 when me and evan drove to ohio to visit my family for spring break. we took a smaller road trip to east ohio to visit an aunt of mine and stayed the night with her and the next day we traveled down to Amish Country! and we absolutely loved it!!

today was my the day i got to walk across the stage and graduate from college!! yay me!! My aunts Marcia and Tammy joined my parents, sisters and husband in the audience! then we went out to Rio Mambo for lunch!

last night i was asleep and evan had his arm laying across my belly. well this morning he tells me this, and said i felt him kicking you all night long! he said he would feel the baby graze all across my stomach and kick me and hit me! and i just couldn't believe all this was going on while i was sleeping! anyhow, it was really nice for me to hear him being happy about feeling the baby, cause he has only felt it a handful of times. so he was really excited to be able to have that experience last night!

yesterday was an amazing day!! in the morning, me and my husband were laying in bed, and i was looking at my tummy because the baby was kicking, and evan turned to look at it, and at that exact moment the baby kicked and evan could see it!!!! it was amazing! he couldn't believe he REALLY saw it! theeen last night we were laying in bed, and he is always too impatient to sit there and try and feel the baby kick, well finally he put his hand on my tummy and BAM! the baby kicked him!!! he was so amazed!!! so yesterday was pretty awesome! he was able to feel and see the baby kick for the first time!!!

so i had to go to the ER last night because i was not feeling good at all. i woke up from a nap at around 2:30, and i was having severe cramps, and if felt like i couldn't get enough air in me. anyways, so i ended up going to the emergency room to make sure everything was ok. It was they couldn't find anything wrong. they checked for blood clots in my lungs and couldn't find anything, the only thing they found was my potassium was low, so they gave me some pills for that, and they did a sonogram, but they wouldn't let evan stay in the room for in and he was kind upset about that cause he wanted to see. but i got to see the baby!!! i was sooo amazing! i teared up when i saw it! it was so amazing to be able to see that!! anyhow, so they figured out that i'm 8 weeks! so there ya go!

This week is my last week at my current store then i get transfered to the store that is like 3 miles from my house!!! i'm sooooooo excited! no i won't have to drive like 70 miles a day! (taking evan to work, me driving back and forth to work, picking up evan, going home, (then going to school and back home only 12 miles round trip)) sooo you can definitely see how much its saving me!allllloooooooooooot! i'm so excited to not be wasting my whole day sitting in the car driving when i could be doing something productive like working out or doing school work or i dunno, sleeping lol :-) or just walking my 4 dogs well 1 dog and 3 puppies lol :-D so thats that! hope everythings going good for you guys!

we got the keys to our apartments today!! YAY! we are going to start taking stuff over there tomorrow! WE are super excited! hopefully i'll have the internet over there to put pics up and stuff for everbody to see. its a HUGE 1200 sq ft 3 bed 2 bath apartment! so we are so glad we got this oppurtunity to move out and be on our own now. so yay for us!! :-D

6 days until my wedding. It's exciting, but so incredibly stressful.

Living here with my parents,

and being married,

not a good idea.

So as soon as this wedding is over, and we are on our feet again,

we will hopefully be getting a place of our own.
